Skills Recognition | Remote Pilot
Aviation Australia offers the opportunity to have recognition of prior learning (RPL) of previous studies, qualifications and experience assessed for certification against the Certificate III in Aviation (Remote Pilot) AVI30419.
To qualify for skills recognition, you must hold the below minimum requirement:
- Current CASA Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) with a minimum of 5+ hours of logged flight.
You will receive an RPL report which will provide you with any skills recognised and any additional training and/or evidence you may need to meet the requirements of the qualification.
Upon successful completion of the requirements of this course, you will receive:
- Certificate III in Aviation (Remote Pilot) AVI30419;
- CASA Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate (AROC)* This is a CASA requirement to use aviation VHF radios, which are needed when flying near aerodromes and helipads.
This fee includes an RPL report, which will provide you with a summary of any recognition that applies against the requirements of the qualification. This will also include up to 2 days of training to achieve any gap training to meet the requirements of the qualification. Additional fees may apply for any further gap training required.
Depending on your RPL report, you may need to complete gap training. This training could be required in various forms:
Completing online self-study/assessments. You will need access to a computer with reliable internet connection.
THEORY – Brisbane
Completing classroom theory training/assessments onsite at our Brisbane Airport campus.
PRACTICAL – Sumner Park
Completing practical training/assessments at Remote Aviation Australia at Sumner Park.
