Fundraising efforts to help talented young baseball player
Holly Moellers is hoping to play elite level baseball in New Zealand
Staff and students at Aviation Australia are working together to raise money through recycling cans and bottles to assist Holly Moellers in her goal to play elite level baseball in New Zealand.
Holly is the ten year old daughter of Aviation Australia’s Senior Storeperson Rob Moellers. She is has been selected as the only girl in the under 13 Queensland Dolphins team to compete in Auckland in December this year.
Holly has worked very hard to earn her spot on the team and this is a great opportunity for her to gain more experience and develop her skills further.
The recent introduction of 10c rebates for cans and bottles in Queensland provided a way that staff and students could easily help raise money for worthwhile causes that are close to staff and students hearts.
To date there has been over 1000 recyclables donated and hundreds of dollars raised for Holly. The Moellers family would like to thank everyone for their contributions so far, everyone’s efforts are really appreciated.
If you would like to assist, there are specially marked bins around the Brisbane campus buildings where you can put your recyclables. Otherwise Queensland based employees and students can go to any Containers for Change site and quote C10167584 to ensure the donation will go to Holly.
