Certificate III in Aviation (Remote Pilot)
The Certificate III in Aviation (Remote Pilot) provides you with important training to legally operate a remotely piloted aircraft. It will also allow you to fly without many of the weight or operating restrictions applied to recreational users.
Upon successful completion of the requirements of this course, you will receive:
- Certificate III in Aviation (Remote Pilot) AVI30419;
- CASA Remote Pilot Licence (RePL)*;
- CASA Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate (AROC)* This is a CASA requirement to use aviation VHF radios, which are needed when flying near aerodromes and helipads.
- 12 months membership with the Australian Association of Unmanned Systems (AAUS)
*subject to Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) approval

Certificate 3 Guarantee (funded + student co-contribution fee)
Funding is available for this qualification for eligible applicants.
Co-Contribution Fees are required to be charged under the Certificate 3 Guarantee program:
Co-Contribution Non-Concessional Fee AUD $1,518
Co-Contribution Concession Fee AUD $1,214
NOTE: Co-contribution fees can be paid for by the student, or on behalf of the student (i.e. such as by an employer or third party).

Training Hours and Location
The course requires a combination of online self-study, theory (classroom) training and also practical training.
The course requires 80 hours online self-study. You will need access to a computer with reliable internet connection.
THEORY – Brisbane
The course commences with 1 day of classroom theory onsite at our Brisbane Airport campus.
THEORY & PRACTICAL – Sumner Park
There are then 6 days of training completed at our partner provider.
Training hours are from 9am to 5pm
