Aviation Australia Riyadh College
Aviation Australia Riyadh College (AARC) is a partnership between Aviation Australia and Shamal Commercial Investments of Saudi Arabia. AARC commenced operations in late 2014 under Saudi Arabia’s Colleges of Excellence initiative and offers world-class aviation maintenance training at a brand new, purpose designed training and maintenance facility at King Khalid International Airport on the outskirts of Riyadh.
AARC offers two main programs, both of which will result in the award of a Diploma qualification endorsed by Saudi Skills Standards. The first program is a General Authority of Civil Aviation endorsed training course (Part 147) for graduates who are seeking to work as aviation maintenance engineers in the civil aviation sector. The second program is based on the European Aviation Safety Agency Part 66 curriculum in Mechanical (B1) and Avionics (B2) and is delivered to students from the Royal Saudi Air Force.
Each Diploma program is delivered entirely in English over three years. The first year consists of intensive English and Information Technology training, followed by two years of technical theory and practical training when students will work on real and simulated aircraft, engines and components. Also provided is on-the-job training at an aviation maintenance workplace to reinforce the theory and practical instruction received in the training environment.
