Aviation Australia intern secures job with leading aerospace organisation

Product Design and Development intern, Thomas Wright is one of three recent interns who successfully secured positions after completion of their Aviation Australia internships.

Thomas was happy to secure a role at renowned aerospace organisation, Hawker Pacific.

“I have had my mind set on aerospace engineering since I was in Grade 10 and I’ve been working towards achieving this goal ever since,” said Thomas Wright.

His role at Hawker Pacific involves working on aircraft such as the Dash 8 and Kingair series, conducting component repair, replacement and design.

Thomas was an intern at Aviation Australia for 60 days, as part of his aerospace and mechanical engineering studies.

His work at Aviation Australia involved working with the product design and development team developing new courseware, as well as working with the international diploma class conducting practical assessments in the onsite hangar.

“I have really enjoyed my time interning at Aviation Australia, it has helped me get to where I want to be in my career,” said Thomas.

Thomas will begin his employment with Hawker Pacific at the end of April, completing his studies in July 2018.

Aviation Australia wishes Thomas and the other interns the best of luck in their careers.
