Aviation Australia holds AW139 launch event
Aviation Australia held an information evening on 09 March to celebrate the launch of the new AW139 helicopter maintenance course, as well as their partnership with HeliTSA.
Aviation Australia’s Paul Jones along with HeliTSA’s Troy Johnson and Pep Sayabath spent the evening networking with guests and discussing the AW139 helicopter maintenance course curriculum.
LifeFlight provided the use of their AW139 helicopter simulator for the evening, allowing attendees to take flight in the AW139 CAT D simulator – which has an exceptional fidelity to a real AW139 helicopter.
Paul Jones also discussed the training requirements and processes involved with Aircraft Maintenance Engineering licensing. The information provided attendees with expert industry knowledge on license progression, exclusion removals, EASA licensing and aircraft type training.
It was a successful event, attracting approximately 30 industry guests.
The first AW139 helicopter maintenance course will take place on 05 June, with a full class expected.
