Australia – Thailand Aviation Mission Supports Aviation Australia’s International Footprint
Aviation Australia attended the Australia – Thailand Aviation Mission in March 2018. The three-day conference was held in Bangkok, Thailand and hosted by Austrade.
The event discussed Thailand’s expanding aviation sector, with the mission focused on connecting Australian expertise with opportunities in Thailand.
Delegates in aviation presented their capability to key Thai aviation stakeholders from industry and government; participating in one-on-one business matching, networking receptions and site visits.
Aviation Australia’s Technical Training Manager, Mark Thompson attended the mission, presenting on training the aviation workforce to become globally competitive.
“It was a great opportunity to participate in the Australia – Thailand Mission to demonstrate Aviation Australia’s international capability to key personnel in the industry,” said Mark Thompson.
“Studying at Aviation Australia provides students with an international advantage and it was great to showcase this. We train our students to internationally recognised standards and our courses always ensure that quality and safety is a focus,” said Mark Thompson.
“Operating practical training in our world class onsite hangars is also a great advantage for industry to recognise, ensuring Aviation Australia has realistic practical training elements.”
The event was held in light of the Asia-Pacific region becoming the global centre of the commercial aviation industry.
