Aviation Australia is an approved provider with the Government of South Australia Department of Innovation and Skills, with Skilling South Australia funding for the below courses:
- Certificate II in Aircraft Line Maintenance – MEA20518
- Certificate III in Aircraft Surface Finishing – MEA30118
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics) – MEA40618
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical) – MEA40718
- Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Structures) – MEA41318
- Diploma of Aeroskills (Avionics) – MEA50118*
- Diploma of Aeroskills (Mechanical) – MEA50218*
*Diploma includes additional CASA Licence outcome for eligible trainees

Employers wanting to employ an apprentice in South Australia must be registered with Skilled careers (Government of South Australia). More information can be found here.
Theory training is conducted via block release at Aviation Australia training facilities in Brisbane, Melbourne (Essendon Fields), or Perth (Jandakot Airport).
Fees are based on the qualification, trade stream and the Units of Competency required to achieve the qualification. The fee rate is set by the Government of South Australia and is reviewed annually – the 2019-2020 fee rates per nominal hour are below.
Once an individual Training Plan has been developed, final costs can be established. As a guide, maximum course fees are listed below:

Concession Fees may apply where an apprentice holds a current Health Care Card, Pension Concession Card or Veteran Affairs Concession Card – at the time of commencement in a Unit of Competency. Evidence must be provided.

The Government of South Australia Travel and Accommodation Allowance supports rural and regional businesses by helping to cover some of the costs associated with hiring an apprentice. Depending on the distance required to be travelled, it may include travel allowance, accommodation allowance and airfare travel. More information can be found here.
