Aircraft Line Maintenance – School to work pathway
The school to work pathway allows school students to take the first step to a career within the aviation industry. The Certificate II in Aircraft Line Maintenance provides basic level knowledge and skills to perform a range of specified maintenance tasks on aircraft on a flight line or at the departure gate.
The VET in Schools program is conducted for Year 10-11 students, over approximately 2 years. This qualification can lead to future Aeroskills apprenticeships/traineeships. This qualification is also a pathway to achieving a Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Category A Aircraft Maintenance Engineer licence – which allows authorized personnel to release aircraft to service.
Aviation Australia offers this program in various locations in Queensland and Northern Territory – select your state below for more information.
